Yes. Rapidshare is a collection of files put up by users. There could be a virus in any of them. Hopefully, you run a good virusscan program on your computer. When you download a file, it will warn you if the file is infected.

Yes there is a really high risk for "RapidShare, Bit Torrent, P2P or any other share file type program. While you are uploading/downloading on these sites it is very common to get trojans, malware, and spyware.
Plus it is know different then opening an attachment from a stranger or a friend. If their pc is infectecd the will make you pc infected by opening the attachment sent to you.
An it gets worse if the attachment has been passed around all over to their contacts.
If you value your investment in your pc I myself would suggest that you avoid all P2P shareware programs.
Plus you better have excellent real time scanner antivirus running and hope that it will catch the virus before it gets into your system.

Yes, they can contain any virus of any type. Since a ton of items up on RapidShare are hacks and cracks and similar types of illegal softwares, they are usually payloaded with all sorts of nasty stuff.
Your best bet is to go down to your local store and buy the software you are looking for...
