My dog doesn't have a bit of shame. She has short hair--nipples, round brown eye in the back, doggy sex hole all out for the world to see. It's a jaunty combination with her perky tail wagging above her naughty bits. She takes a dump anywhere the urge hits her.
Mating, waste elimination, licking themselves--most dogs let it all hang out and have no hang-ups about it. I admire their self-confidence but find it repulsive at the same time. I don't know why some dogs are weird about making poopies in public--it's probably more about covering their tracks, like a territory thing left over from their days in the wild when they didn't want to be hunted down by the smell they left behind. Or maybe they're neurotic. That happens, too.
Oh, and my dog's a Dalmatian--maybe some Dalmatians are sensitive, but mine's a big goofball with few cares in the world. She's a girl on the go who's too busy living to care about how it looks when she goes poo. Very, um, inspiring? Is inspiring the word I'm looking for? But I love the spotted monster.

I think they do. I had a dog who used to run back and forth really fast and sometimes he'd slide into the wall. He'd always look around like he was embarrassed if anyone saw it.

I dont know...I dont usually look! I could take my dogs on a two hour walk and they'll only crap once we get to the park and there's a mean security guard looking. Its like they enjoy getting me in to trouble or something...

Yes, especially when they get blamed for the foul smell in the air.

loool :P That's kinda funny. Whenever my cat uses da litter box she runs away sometimes & it seems like it's cuz she doesn't want me to get mad @ her ha ha. I'll tell her that she's gross ha ha :P :) But when they gotta go they gotta go... If they were raised by their owner(s) to go & hide b/f they did it, then maybe they'd feel embarassed if they couldn't. :P
