i have a 512mb nvidia geforce 7300 SE and i recently downloaded a driver and i can already see the difference but there are some setting i dont understand and pls help me so i get the nest results out of my graphics car>

1. what does antialiasing mean and what setting should i use: off, 2x, 2 xQ or 4X

2. what does anisotropic mean and what setting shall i choose off, 2x, 4x, 8x 16x

3. and the monitor i have is a flat panel which has a screen resultion of 1440 by 900

what setting shall i use to get the best graphics which are smooth thanks!!!!

and also what screen refesh rate 59hertz, 60 or 75

anti-Aliasing is the technique of minimizing aliasing (jagged or blocky patterns), so the higher you set it the lest jagged edges you will see in games, but this can have an impact on performance and decrease your framerates

Anisotropic filtering means turning this on will increase the quality of the textures on far away images or images that are on a step angle

With settings, its best to play around with them until you find one that fits your need for apperance and performance

Refresh rate at 60 or whatever the monitor documentation recommends. Set the resolution to whatever the monitor documentation recommends. On the AA and AT, hopefully it says something about automatic or application controlled, if not just set it to off.

I recommend to set those to OFF.... it depends on the application that these settings needs to be on or off.... so maybe you can try to set them to Application controlled let set your the application control the setting for it... set your resolution to 1024 x 768.. that should be fine... refresh rate for me should be the highest possible.... higher refresh rate causes less stress for the eyes...

i dont use this type of card but as you say
can already see the difference so it is best if you try read about this card and its settings buy click ong on the read me file in the installed folder of the card or from the website it came from
