What do you know so far? You'd probably be best off starting with a few good books to see what you think, and then you're far better off trying to find someone near you to teach you; I'd imagine that email would work in lieu of that, but...still, start with a few books. If it's witchcraft specifically you're looking at, I highly recommend Ann Moura's Green Witchcraft series. Informative, cover a spectrum of topics, and are still well-geared for a beginner or seeker.

Can you elaborate on why are interested and what you want to accomplish? What beliefs do you currently have and are you looking for the practice of witchcraft or a religion that includes witchcraft? How much time and effort are you willing to devote to learn the skills needed?

Sorry to answer your question ore questions, but it's hard to answer without more information.

The power from these things isn't in the spells. The spells are just ceremonial expressions of the real power people hold within. You need to have pure, clear thoughts and strong intention in order for spells to have any power. I dont think reading a few 'magic' words will do anything, for it's not the words that have power, it's the person.

Voodoo is NOT the same as Witchcraft....I strongly suggest that you do LOTS of studying before you decide what Path to venture. Also, it is not something that you can just study for a couple hours a day and then put it aside....it is something that you must incorporate into your everyday Life....

Also, remember, if you do something 'bad' it WILL return to you Threefold....

A good Author I suggest is Scott Cunningham....

No but if you find someone to teach you, remember
The Law of Return;

Ever Mind The Rule Of Three
Three Times Your Acts Return To Thee
This Lesson Well, Thou Must Learn
Thou Only Gets What Thee Dost Earn.

Which also deals with Karma so if you cast a ''bad'' spell it will come back to you. Same goes with a ''good'' spell

I recommend for starters that you read the book, Spells for Teenage Witches by Marina Baker because it will give you the basics of becoming a witch from what type of tree to use as your magic wand to the potions and spells that can help you improve your life. The spells here are easy to follow and you may even have it available in your location. Goodluck!

first off, witchcraft is not a toy or game. there are opposite and equal reactions for all that is done.

secondly, one should not seek power over others, but power with nature and over ones ego by freeing the self.

think, really think hard on why you want to learn. if it is for the power to make others love you, or to get even with an enemy, it is for the wrong reasons and you will hurt yourself.

No, I couldn't. But you could go to your local bookstore and look in the new age section if you want to find some good spell books!
Everything I know is self taught! So I don't see why you can't teach yourself.

There are books out there, but the best way would be to learn in person. Try the bulletin board of a new age store to see if they have classes.

Although the library is the best place to start learning about anything, you might consider what your motivations are.

Power comes with responsibility & consequences you probably haven't thought of & probably don't want.
