I have two kids in soccer and I pay for the soccer league experience. I don't want to pay the $20 opt out fee per child. I don't want to sell this fundraiser stuff either. Every time I turn around, I am selling something. I am tired of it.

As the mother of a child in sports, I can sympathize with you. I was a single mom and paying all the fees and doing all the fundraisers was a stress. I will tell you though, after really looking into the programs my son participated in, those extra dollars and fund raisers you do are needed. The fees for the league just don't cut it for all the equipment, uniforms, travel etc. that are required. Sports gave my son something productive to do, it gave him a reason to be disciplined, and taught him countless values and life lessons that no money could buy. He is a wonderful young man now who grew up clean and good. So when you start feeling pinched, step back and look at the big picture, embrace it, and get involved in the fund raising, or even better, participate in the planning of the fund raisers and help carry them off. You might get to do a fund raiser that is right up your alley.

AMEN.........AMEN - sister!

I sometimes have 3 and 4 fundraiser going on...my friends cringe when they see me....I cringe...when they see me.
They don't get that much for selling all that stuff, I would rather just pay out what would of been the profit off of 10 items or however many that are being sold. The stuff most of those fund/fraud raisers sell are like 1.00 products, that were manufactured in twain or some-other child labor place. It's freaking ridiculous and I'm not doing it anymore.

quit complaining, if you don't want to then pull them out of soccer or pay the $20. Thats next to free anyways.

You may, if you entered them in soccer knowing that this would happen. Otherwise, you can plead that you didn't know about this, and should be exempt. I really don't think they can sue you.

why don't you just take the fundraiser stuff, sell one thing for each child, and be done with it?
