Please bear in mind that i live in the uk and a lot of the products mentioned so far are not available here. Are there any household products that I could use?

Open all doors and windows and let the fresh air come in.

Spray some lavender airspray and wait for the paint smell to go away.

You can open a window and freebez. However the next time you paint you can buy fragrence to add to the can of paint so you won't have that smell. Check Home Depot.

My mother always said to set out a bowl of vinegar and it will "kill" the smell. It seems to work everytime - and it doesn't make the whole room smell like vinegar either. Worth a try ! :)
Good luck to you - we just painted the bathroom attached to our bedroom a really pretty green. It looks just like the color of green sherbet! :) have a good day!

It will go away, be patient. Open the windows and doors and let the fresh air in. Air freshener?.....or time.

try putting fans in the window facing outwards blowing the smell out.. and you could try a room deodorizer otherwise if you cook something like a cake or cookies it would prolly take it out

my next door neighbor paints houses and what he does is takes 2 humidifiers and leaves them on overnight. He says that does the trick.
