call an electrician before you attempt anything so you will not electrocute yourself

Regarding resetting the breakers: if one is tripped, it must be turned all the way to the off position, and then back to the on position. Simply moving the toggle to "on" won't turn it back on.

There is the possibility that this is on a Ground Fault Interrupter Circuit, so see if one of the receptacle outlets has a reset button.
It might be in a bathroom or on the outside of the building.

Aside from that, I can only suggest going to HDepot or Lowe's and review (or buy) a home-wiring manual.

In any event, be careful and good luck.

turn off the main breaker and pull out the damaged outlet i think you will find that either the hot leg or the nuteral is pulled out from the outlet .and also check any wires that are tucked in the box

Hmmm, small electric problem. This can burn down your home.

Do you trust yourself with the responsibility of repairing the problem, knowing what the outcome could be ?

Call a pro and pay the $100 to have peace of mind.

Pay me now or pay me later, I love do-it-yourselfers.
