WASHINGTON, Oct. 6 — The White House, caught off guard by a leading Republican senator who said the situation in Iraq was “drifting sideways,” responded cautiously on Friday, with a spokeswoman for President Bush stopping short of saying outright that Mr. Bush disagreed with the assessment.

“I don’t believe that the president thinks that way,” Dana Perino, the deputy White House press secretary, said when asked whether the president agreed with the senator, John Warner of Virginia. “I think that he believes that while it is tough going in Iraq, that slow progress is being made.”

The entire world knows that Bush lied about the Iraqi war, and he should have pursued bin laden...and by not having done that, he has put us in more danger, and bankrupted our country. My husband does not qualify for VA health benefits, and was not told that until he went to sign up for it. He was in the army years ago, and NOBODY told him that had been cut. He would have had to fought in Vietnam or been poverty stricken,a nd we weren't far from that!

I can spot a lie, and there are too many lies coming from congress, and yes the president, and he knows it! Don't forget Cheney is guilty too!

If Bush were truly a Christian, as he says he is, he wouldn't keep saying that we are going to "stay the course"...we are sick of hearing that while we see thousands of our soldiers killed, the violence increasing (and Bush painting a rosy picture) and innocent civilians murdered. It is time to stop this war and all the lies that are being told about it! Talk to a soldier who has fought in it, and I guarantee there won't be a rosy picture there!

Because President Bush is not eligible to run for president again, I'll answer the question "Do you think the Iraq war issue will damage the Republican Party in the coming election?"

My answer is no. The majority of people who state that National Security is an important issue, also state that they trust Republicans more that Democrats on the issue. Therefore, if it affects the elections, it will help the Republicans.

Wow, don't you realize that Bush can't run in the next election. The president is limited to two terms of office and he is on his second term right now. Unless he changes the American Constitution the only way we will see Bush as president is if his brother runs for office.

Bush can't go for president for another term, although I wish he could, seeing some of the possibilities for president in 2008. Although I wouldn't mind if Jeb Bush or Colin Powell...

in the beginning, "government privilage" could be exerted even while out of workplace and Hillary like invoice will prefer to bolster it no longer weaken it. 2nd, if a Democrat wins it is going to likely be Hillary and he or she will have the skill to need each and every vote she would be able to get to pass HillaryCare and her different socialist schedule and he or she does not think of of taking a huge gamble of alienating a block of votes by taking any action against Bush. 0.33, Bush could be investigated perpetually yet he has finished no longer something unlawful.

Who know's - the people who voted for Bush deserve all they get.

The real lesson is will we start to be tolerant and inclusive of other people and show the way forward to greater world peace ... or will we be paranoid and stupid for the rest of our (short) lives?

I would personally like to "damage" that evil person who is acting as our president. Lee Harvey Oswald where are you when we need you when we need you the most?
