i took a pre physics class last year. my worst section was electricity and my best section was heat. if i were to become an engineer, what type should i be?

I agree with the previous answer. You could exclude electrical engineering, if you are not interested in the topic on electricity. However, I wouldn't decide on one particular engineering field based on one Physics course. There are so many engneering specialties to choose from : nuclear, aerospace, petroleum ... How did you do on Chemistry? How about chemical engineering?

If you did well with heat then you can probably tackle Mechanical Engineering. When I did it, Thermodynamics and Heat and Mass Transfer where the two areas where we lost the most people.
