ok retards, do you know what a signing statement is? Bush has abused this and taken it to actually writing into the bill whatever laws he sees fit to add or disregard. And by that time the legislators have already done their job.

Bro, what color is the sky on your planet? You sure as hell don't live here on Earth.

Do yourself a favor. Step away from the bong, and stop getting your "news" from The Nation, MoveOn.org, and the Democratic Underground. There's a big bright world out there once you clear your head of the conspiracy-theory crap.

He is not allowed to MAKE laws. He only signs bills into law once they have passed both Houses of Congress.

Where did you come up with thinking he makes laws? He certainly does not. He can recommend to Congress things he thinks should be laws, but then Congress writes the bills and votes on them and The President signs them into law when they have passed Congress.

The President doesn't make laws, but his signature is needed to create them after the House of Representatives and the Senate who make up Congress approve the bill. After the law is created,THEN it's the President's job to see that all laws in the U.S. are enforced.

HELLO! Every President has done something to this effect at one point or another. The President puts together a plan of what he would like to see in a bill/law, passes it to Congress to debate then they send him what they will agree to.

Funny, your journalism is about as good as Connie Chung's.

He isn't... and hasn't... however any president can propose a legislative agenda... it is up to congress to pass or not on those suggestions. That's the way it is supposed to work... nothing special or strange about it.
