Would like to hear from someone who has returned from Egypt
recently...did you feel safe...would you recommend going now?

i not return cause i live here, it is my country, i born here live here, so last night i said good bye for 2 americans guest at Luxor airport and i was waiting for 14 french guests, the 2 who left they do enjoyed and find it is more safe than home, i heared it like that way from them.
feel here more safer than home.
ps:- they were 2 women alone.

Yes, Egypt is perfectly safe. Do not worry about security at all. The past few years have witnessed an extensive crack down on fundemantlism by the security forces. The only local fundamentalist group declared a few months ago that they have given up on terrorism, very similar to IRA. If you are talking about theft etc, then no sweat, one of the lwoest crimes rates in the region.
I visited Egypt several times during the past couple of years and never had a problem or heard of any one who had one.
So go for it and have a good time.

hi i came back from egypt on friday morning and if u loook at my recent questions on this subject u will see that i was having very big safety issues but i tell u what i haven never felt so welcome and safe it was a wonderful experience bit of a culture shock as i never been abroad but it was fantastic airport bit expensive 3 cans of drink £7 ouch but security was there without u even realiseing very safe would go back tomorrow if i could

iam egyptian trust me its more than safe to come here . the best time to visit egypt is in novemeber and december beacause this october its the holy month of ramadan and every 1 is fastning . you are more than welcomed to come any time but you will enjoy it more after october so have fun and enjoy

My homegirl just did a 16 tour with her school, she had an excellent time and want to go back, she saids its worth it.
