He is a real genius only if he can create anti-virus solution to the virus he created ;
(viruses goes beyond cloning ablity, they can infect boot sectors, modify templates others can range from keyloggers(technically not virus) to kernel worms).
It should be a real virus (involves complex calcuations lot of hard work) not just a do loop sort of program. Even i wrote a program in vb that keeps creating ".txt" files , which use to collect directory informations from host machines and keeps creating thousands of files in "windows\system32 or windows\system (depending on windows OS) with randomized numbers .It is not a virus, just a preposterous program.
if the virus is indestuctible, then he is a genius, because he knows too much about system loop holes.

I have made them and I would not like to say yes or no to that question.
I made them to prove I could and partially 'cause I wanted to see the extent that VB could manipulate someone's PC
Having said that I am not stupid, when I tested my Viruses I used Microsoft Virtual Machine so my computer wouldn't actually be harmed.
I have never actually used one of my viruses against anyone and probably wouldn't unless overwhelmingly provoked.
Anyone can write a virus it's simple:

Seriously crude virus but you get the point you don't need to be a genius!

I think they are moronic geniuses. They should be using their "genius" to do better things. I, personally, would like to see those virus creators caught and thrown in prison or better yet clean every infected computer in the world.

No, they're just a common everyday garden variety pain-in-the-a*ss! A true genius would not have to hide & deceive the world. These people are cowards & thieves, period.

People that write viruses are not geniuses they just like to see other peoples computers and ruin them. I hope this is somewhat of a help to you.
