Leather or suede in either black or brown works with many styles. High or low, they are all in style right now. Don't forget though, water and suede don't mix well. Rain,snow, etc... will leave spots on the suede. In my own closet I have black leather knee boots that lace up the back, a shorter 'scrunchy" ankle boot, a pair of black motorcycle boots and a beautiful pair in brown suede that have a pointy toe. Also, even though people are still wearing Uggs, Glamour magazine says they went "out" last year. Have fun shopping!

try discount shoe stores like payless and DSW, they have all sorts of styles much cheaper and cuter than uggs!!

leather is cleaner than suede, because there's really no way to clean suede, but black leather is easy because you can help it if it gets a scratch with some polisher or something.
