i am planning to buy the Britax Decathlon Car seat for my daughter. She has low muscle tone and this seat looks very supportive. I was just wondering if anyone else has one and how they like it. To see it go to babiesrus. Go to car seat. Go to convertable seats. It is the Decathlon. The style is Tiffany.

first off the marathon has the same frame as the decathlon . the difference is that the decathlon also has an extra body pillow and head pillow. it works just like the infant head supports do in the infant carriers. the pillows fill the extra space between your daughter and the seat frame as she grows both pillows are removable. second on the decathlon you can adjust the strap that goes in
between her legs as she grows just like you would for her shoulder straps. other than those two features the marathon and the decathlon are the same seat. i believe the decathlon would be a very good decision for your daughter. i have the decathlon in one vehicle and the marathon in my second vehicle and i actually wish i had the decathlon in both because while my daughter is still small i use the body pillows and will remove them when she fills the seat by herself.
good luck

I tried them all out, and personally I LOVED the marathon. The Decathalon has a different type of button to push when you're looseing the straps, it didn't look as sturdy, and the woman at Babies R Us agreed with me. She used the Marathon also for all of her kids. I know that we had the 5 month old in that carseat and she does fine with it. You can always put a blanket on either side of her to keep her supported. And the Marathon has the Olivia style which is very similar. On a side note I don't know if you have a Bumbo seat, but that has helped tremendously with my baby's muscle tone. She loves the seat and so do we! Hope that helps!

many times while any Britax seat is extra value-effective and its no longer considered one of their annual revenues (Sept and Feb) its b/c that hide has been discontinued. It potential which you have become an older seat, likely, nevertheless no longer constantly. Its a toss up. My wager is the date of manufacture would be a minimum of a million 365 days old, yet can't determine b/c often times Britax will positioned some random left over discontinued covers on variety new of the line seats. however the case many times is that it truly is its extra value-effective b/c its older. the reason it truly is critical is b/c vehicle seats are in basic terms solid for 6 years from the date of manufacture. it quite is not important once you purchase it - in basic terms while it replaced into made. So in case you get a a million 365 days old vehicle seat variety new, you have already lost a million 365 days of its existence formerly you even open it! determine the fee is discounted sufficient to make it nicely worth it to you. Or call the area you're ordering from and ask for a DOM formerly ordering so which you will understand for specific.

I personally like the Marathon too. They say they can stay in it until they are up to 60 pounds. Of course my daughter is only 30 pounds and almost 4 1/2 years old. I won't go to any other kind of carseat after having this one. Britax is known for their qulaity and durability.

I have a Marathon and a Roundabout. They are super easy to install, comfortable and safe. Not to mention they last until your child is about 4 years of age!

I know several people with this carseat, and it has been great. It does not show dirt easily too, which is a plus.
