I used to be best friends with this guy, We are young we are 14 um we ended up not talking anymore because he became obsessive and so I stopped hangin out with him....the prob is is that all my friends are also his friends. But ever since we stopped hanging out I have been happy and now the question is should I be friends with him just to make our friends happy or should I just keep ignoring him...since we have stopped hanging out he became a jerk...what should I do?

i guess the truth is if these friends are your real friends they will talk to you whether you are friends with him or not.....i know it becomes difficult when you have the same friends but there is enough of both of you to go around, maybe it is a good time for you to seek some new friends, have u thought about joining some type of group, get a hobby?.................good luck

Do what makes you happy, not what makes your friends happy. Why be his friend when he is a total jerk and he is just going to bring you down. Life is just too short for that, and if your friends don't like it....screw them...you can find better ones.

I am letting my 8 year old answer this question - as it sounds as if you are about the same intellect level. She says "Hang out with your friends and if he acts like a jerk, ignore him".
