When you say "world going to end" do you mean destruction of the planet, or the extinction of mankind? Well the planet will not naturally be destroyed for another couple of billion years yet (in our time) pretty soon (universe time). Mankind will be gone long before, The prophecies of religious literature are not exactly true but brainwashed powerful people believe they are. The idea behind the great tribulation, that someone once wrote, is that Mankind will significally be reduced to 2 billion slaves for the elite who are running things here. After that, climate change will eventually destroy human life and the earth will then become a beautiful life sustaining planet it once was.
So don't worry about the end times, help the now times by changing the way you do stuff and become a better person ie don't use so much resourses like oil, that way, US and UK wouldn't go invading oil rich countries so you can drive your car down the street. or eat too much food, it's our own greed that is causing rife in the world.

Remember, Live Simply so others can Simply Live

The world, that is, the Earth, will never end, only the humans living on it if things keep going the way they are. My best guess is when all the oil stops flowing, signaling the end of the 'oil economy' which will snowball into the collapse of modern civilization as we know it.
If you are a Bible believer, the end will come after a terrible time known as the "Great Tribulation" which will culminate in the "War of Armageddon", as the nations of the world try to fight the Almighty's rightful ruling of this world. Personally, I think the Jehovah's Witnesses have that part pretty well figured out. Consider asking one about it sometime. They are a bit strange, but no more wacky than any other unconventional religion.

The sun has an expiry date, I don't know how much, but there is a star cycle. The sun will enter its next stage thus resulting in the end of the earth. Or another possibility is another world war and this time it would be even nastier because of the stronger type of weapons most country have in their possession and we'll all die.

It won't be from the sun going supernova because our star lacks the critical mass to become a supernova. The sun will just run out of energy and the Earth will freeze. I know it's not glamorous but then life is boring at times.

i used to worry about that aswell, not so much for myself but for our 7 month old kid. what sort of world are we going leave to them. howevever after listening to all the hype about 'weapons of mass detruction' in iraq that were never found i tend not be so gullible again. now it's iran and north korea and it's the same people doing all the shouting. shame on them for rallying support with fear. what we need is unbias views from none political bodies so we can make our own judgements. now i spend more time playing an teaching with our kid than worrying.
don't get caught up in all the hype enjoy life with family and friends

That wont end life on the planet. Life also exists at the bottom of oceans.

The world will end in about 3 billion years when the sun runs out of hydrogen and expands to about the distance of the Earth

I go with everyone being led into world war three soon and being obliterated by a nuclear warhead or ten. Hopefully we'll get enough warning for and end of world party though.

It'll end in ice- the sun will shrink to a tiny dot, everyone will be standing around trying to get warm, but it'll be so cold, even fire will freeze , the earth will be a giant ice-cube in a matter of minutes. You'll be eating ice cream trying to get warm ;)

'For destruction, ice is also great'

The world as we know it? We will be replaced as a result of evolution. It was the dinosaurs, it's now ours, what comes next?

The planet however will I believe end with the dieing of the sun.
