Colds seem to be impossible to cure, but to relieve symptoms and make it through the day without dragging....Load up on zinc and vit.C. Drink lots of fluids, even it soups at meal/snack times. 2 products over the counter that I will swear by: Zicam and Airborne. Zicam comes in a few different forms, highly concentrated in Zinc, and works best if you start it at the first onset of systems. I find it still works if you take it later in the cold, has helped prevent the cold turning into worse-like sore throats,bronchitis,etc..by helping build up the immune system for fight. Airborne is an effervesent tab placed in water that instantly makes me feel better. Directions say to do every 4 hours or so, but when I have been at my worst, I've taken every 2 hours and it really made me feel so much better. Hope it works for you!!

You should try Airborne its a tablet you put into a little amount of water and you drink it. The directions say to take it every three hours and really works. I had the beginnings of a cold and I followed the directions and it was gone by the next day. I think its a great product. You can buy it at any Walgreens, CVS,or any supermarket its around 5.99.
I hope this helps you.

I can only say three words: Hydration, Hydration, Hydration...

It is always a factor in these cases. Drink lots of water/fruit juice (not too sugary) and avoid coffee, tea, soft drinks, and caffeine (even in foods). Most people in the world (especially the U.S., who consume too much of the above) go around day-to-day in a condition of dehydration, which leads to fatigue and suseptability to colds and other sicknesses. I have proven this to be true (in my own life) for over 20 years, practicing what I'm preaching! (IOW, I never get seriously sick for any amount of time)
I probably average close to a gallon a day of intake>the minimum formula is one-half your body weight (in ounces) per day.

a sore throat for 4 daze? Unusual, but try flushing it out with LOTS of OJ and other fluids, hot soup is excellent, too, and of course bed rest

Run 3 miles a day for 2 days in a row. You'll be spitting and wheezing alot, but, after day 2, all cleared up.

Works for me.
