This question was answered by Christopher Columbus when he sailed around the world, confirmed that it was round. Before that, there was many beliefs it was flat. Also, the 1st pictures of earth when man landed on the moon, from space that earth is a shaped as a sphere. I think you need to avoid these questions, your feed back from other respondents is quite negative.
The answer was confirmed over 1000 years ago., the earth is round. If we keep up the wars and violence, the earth will be flat, then you will not be around to ask these questions, nobody will answer - we will all be gone, life on earth will not exist once the earth is flat, it will simply float out of the hemisphere with no gravity, and go off into a black hole, forever.

If you look ever look closely at the sea horizon at the beach you can clearly sea the curve of the earth. also if there is a ship sailing away from you can can see the curve in the other direction whereby ship dips its nose followed bu the hull then the keel. the world is also round as its the astranomically and energetically the most stable shape. if it was say square then the corners would be areas of instability and subject to alot of irregular activity in such ways to achieve the stability. Yeah I know I am beating a walnut with a sledge hammer for a simple question. but thought you'd all know
