Just dress nicely and have fresh breath. Give direct and honest answers to questions. Avoid talking office politics or any other kind of politics.

My suggestion would be by using all of the three main job boards.

Yahoo hotjobs, monster.com, careerbuilder.com

These companies advertise heavily and have paid subscriptions from recruiters and small to large corporations looking for candidates.

For starters, it would help if you had a well written resume, which you can upload into these systems. Once you specify the type of job, wage and area where you want to work, you will be able to search for jobs and recruiters will see your resume in selected searches based on your profile.

Best part of this method is that is costs nothing to you.
