Force X velocity = power. If force is multiplied for a given level of power applied to the machine, the velocity has to be diminished by the same factor. But since the power is applied for the same amount of time, that also means the distance on the increased force side has to be the thing that is diminished.

F X v = power = f X V; where F = 4f; so that 4 X v = V showing that the velocity (V) on the low force (f) side is four times the velocity (v) on the high force side. As 4 X v = 4 X s/t = S/t; so that 4 X s = S, we can also see the distance on the low force side is four times that on the high force end.

Work can not be increased without adding energy to a system & work (or energy, the units are the same) is force tims distance, distance would decrease by a factor of 4 in an ideal system, mor in a non ideal system.
