Are you picky about who your children are around? Meaning, if you are dating someone, do you take your kids around them if you don't really see it going anywhere? Do you let your kids be around your friends?

it depends on the childs age as to whether I allowed them around someone I was dating,,,but to be honest with you children have a sense and can pick out a person's real personality,,,I learned to listen to my kids and most of the time they were right when they said someone was a jerk

I had Two kidos, and one on the way and yes i was very picky about who my kds were around.We would see people at the park and talk but not hang out .But one day i saw a man playing the guitar at the park my oldest boy was 4 and my new baby was well new. He was playing the most beautiful song called Dee (thats all i know about the song) anyways i saw him off and on doing things i really enjoyed doing over the next month or so. I saw him doing things i would want to do and seen him with dogs being efficanite. so one day i saw him walking around the block i walked to oppisate way to give me a chance to talk to him and we've been together everyday since then. on oct.8 will be one year. we clicked right away and seem to never run out of things to talk and laugh about. all i'm saying is that when you see someone doing the things you like to do and would like you children to be around is the guy to bring your kids around. i wouldn't bring the kids around every man thats attracted to you, you'll just give your kids the wrong idea on how it all works. I was only expecting a friendship when i met him and it turned into a whole lot more. the man of my deams :)

i dont take my kids around anyone that i am just *dating* but if i see it start to become a relationship then i will let them become involved.
yeah i let my kids be around my friends,my friends help me alot with them

yes, i am picky. i do not allow my son around no man unless i know the relationship is serious. as for my friends, they will only see my son if we are outside and i happened to bump into them. children are smarter than you think. they know things you think they would not understand. i hope this answered your question.

not single parent now but was at one time. children shouldn't be introduced to a mate untill you are sure he/she is the one... then after they meet listen tothe child...this will help the child plus kids see a side of people that adult normally can't.

these days you have to be picky about who you let your kids go around, you never know who or what they are. my kids are around my friends, and if a man isnt good enought to be around me then he isnt my kids either. and i wouldent date a guy if i knew it wasnt going to amount to anything.
