Well they actually have footage of a lightning strike hitting in the same place twice. So I guess it can happen. We have a building here in Houston that it's been hit a couple of times but it's just like you say it's a tall building and basically a huge lightening rod.

No it's not true,it does hit the same person or tree,etc. Maybe not the exact same spot but the same place or person,yes. I have witnessed this.

it's very rare for it to strike in the exact same spot twice.
but there is a slight chance it could happen nothings impossible.
