No, that's how they wanted it to run. They thought Wilson should be kinda mysterious..However, in the season finalie of the last season he shows his face..Wilson (Earl Hindman) is passed away now you can search him on the net to see his face

No...that is part of his character - he always covers his face. Kind of a funny/interesting part of the show. I believe the only time he was shown full-face was the very last show when they came out for the final finale bow.
