Here in St. Louis he is still very much appreciated. There is a restaurant/club in University City (in St. Louis County) that is called Blueberry Hill and Mr. Berry regularly plays in the "Duck Room" (named for him of course). Also, he lives in St. Charles County about 45 minutes away from St. Louis and even his neighbors are very protective of his privacy.

Chuck Berry is indeed the TRUE King of Rock. Elvis was an overmarketed, no-talent chump.

Having played music since the 50's, I would say that most of the inovators of the old rock are unappreciated...Kid's nowadays think that the oldies suck, but dont realize that a lot of modern musicians use the old music modified....

I do - he did a lot for electric guitar and blending rock and roll music with soul and blues. Chuck is very underappreciated.
