Is there anyway to find the names of ppl who were injusred or died across seas on the internet?

i'm trying to find some sort of list or archive that i could look up a name of a soilder and check if they're ok, or at least alive, as sad as it is.

That is a tough question there are too many unknowns.

Go to Google and type in a relevant name or place that such a thing was said to have occurred.
