I want to get my bachlors in Vis Comm. and i want to be a web designer. I just need to know the basics of wed designing in the Seattle area?? thankx

Hey Raz Q,
Remember that Seattle is an eclectic collection of people. You have mountain loving people, art loving people, sailing, islands, fishing, California Escapee's and the roots of the settelers from the 1800s.
The basics are going to be the same everywhere, just your audience is more diverse. Anything that would fly in California silicone valley, will fly in Seattle, but remember it is your audience that matters, what their products are, and who their clients are.

The Seattle market is flooded with Bachelors and Masters in the arts and commerce, you would do better in this area to take a Web Design course through the Art Institute of Seattle.
They will help place you once you have your credits and the local industry has come to value their alumni.

I would say AVOID schools, they are bad anyway. You can learn on your own. Even Lynda.com is probably better than having student debts for the next 10 years. I've hired people from the Art Institute in the past and I always wondered what they learned:/
