absolutely if both parties are willing - with some dr phil playbacks a bit of elbow grease and a really good heavy duty first aid kit, you guys should b able to get thru. Just gotta establish the respect line again and make sure u don't cross it.

Now how can a mutually abusive relationship be a healthy one, these types of relationships are nothing but destructive...they can never be healthy in any event, it may seem normal to you both because you probably dont know anything different to these types of relationship...but i got one question for you, dont you think you deserve better than this?......

I really dont think it can be, I think when you have two abusive personalites together, there is a history between them that never fades and always comes back. some people are used to abuse because that is what they grew up with and the only life they know.The only way they can be healthy is if they move away from each other and get individual help.

it doesn't sound like it was healthy in the first place. for it to become healthy both of you need to change the abusiveness into a more constructing light. i don't see that happening though. seems like the two of you have some sort of power struggle

I dont think so.... it would only be a matter of time before one person fell back into old behaviours and then the other partner would as well..... stay friends but move on
