its columbus day on monday. does everyone get time off from work and school?

Of course, some work on Mondays otherwise all businesses would be closed even Fast Food Places, Wallmart, Safeway and the like. Unfortunately, the only ones off are students, government workers, and teachers.

No, Columbus is no longer to be really honored, since all he did was open up the continent to European colonization...Nothing really important, you know...

Not Me. Why my office doesn't give us off, I'll never know. Their so damn cheap with their vacation time.
