can any one please advice me on how and where to find an illustrator for a childrens book.

best bet would probably be to post a bulletin at a college that has art classes.

If you're looking to have a book published the traditional way (accepted and published by a publishing house as opposed to paying to have it published yourself) then I would just tell you that from what I've heard--speaking from published authors--is that they like to be the one to pick and choose the illustrator. It is rarely if ever a decision made by the author as to who they want to illustrate their books. Particularly with a new author.
