Hey Jon E,

A charter is what you plan to do, how you plan to do it, on what. It could be an organizations charter, a project charter or something, I assume this is your thought.

So, if the Charter changes, you have either decided to change the organization in a fundamental way, that will sweep through an organization. A quick example would be if your charter said your logo had to have orange, and not blue. Then you changed the charter and decided it had to have orange and yellow, but still no blue. All your 'stuff' with the logo, would have to have the new logo. Your branding could be affected!

Another such change, could be if you had a charter that said the company would be held private, and you decided to change this and go public. Many corproate 'root' 'who you are' 'defining' charter attributes affect how you do business. Hope this answers you.
