I need a stainless steel (or looking) Fridge with water purifier in the $1000 range. Which one is the best ? Maytag/GE/Frigidaire/Whirlpool.... ?

I have a Maytag and it's wonderful, EXCEPT for how the shelves in the doors are made. They tend to want to drop in the floor just when you are the most rushed to get out the door. Whirlpool bought out Maytag, and Sears is made by the same company. Do you research on line with a Consumer Rating board.

Gonna be tough to get stainless in that price range. I'd just watch for clearance items at Sears, Best Buy and Lowe's or Home Depot. All four brands that you named are high quality, it's all in what features you are looking for.

It really does not matter becouse all of the ones you listed are made by Whirlpool.

I work with apliances every day, go with the whirlpool, take my advice

go to a place that sells all those brands and make your choice. The salesmen are paid on salary plus commission so they will be helpful and provide to you the info you seek.
