Are Conservatives actually smarter than Liberals?

Why would anyone admit they are Liberal?

I am basically a conservative but I do not think we are any smarter than liberals as a group. That being said, I do think we are smarter than the commislamic fascists (far left wing). The reason is that we conservatives have been able to use practicality and common sense in our political philosophy. These commslamic fascists are sawing on the tree limb while positioned on the distant end.

It is not often said to true, making stuff up doesnt make it a fact.
Being a conservative or a liberal has nothing to do with intelligence. It has to do with a person core value system. Some people value money and self importance and success. Some people value people, human dignity and kindness. Some like large goverment some like small.One isnt more intelligent than the other, they both believe fiercely in their own ideas and believe them to best. I mean you could make an argument that liberals are more book intelligent because most ivy league schools are in new england and the east coast which usually goes democratic. I mean you could say conservatives are smarter because they are more ruthless in their desire to win. They manipulate and lie better than the liberals. As far as morals go, liberals have morals, we just dont choose to force our beliefs on others.

Actually I know several conservatives with graduate degrees who would argue with you on that very point .
They say that in general the more educated the individual the more liberal they become .
The only determining factor in one remaining conservative is an overwhelming urge to continue with-in the practice of religion and follow in the values of the parents who raised them to respect God and country .
It is rare that a well educated successful liberal finds religion at any age and begins going to a conservative church .
More common is conservatives who's parents have passed children grown and wife getting flabby and old does he begin to look at life as being more fun if lived liberally .
That 30 year old secretary that was out of bounds 5 years ago is no longer out of bounds .Kids are at college the wife is busy with her job and sex is just one of those things that may happen on your birthday or anniversary.This is the conservative life at its finest .
That's all well and good till all your buddies at work begin to open up and tell you about the multiple affairs they had and how much more exciting it is to live .
So some conservatives actually become quite liberal as they mature and begin to understand more about life .
Liberals accept at a younger age the reality of life and all its pleasures .Conservatives are prevented from this experience by the nature of their Up bringing .Conservatives raise or try to more conservatives .Liberals raise liberals but if you are not to bright it is better to be conservative and live a structured life . Liberals do not mind there kids living a conservative life and know that they may be happier in the long run having all that stability and structure .It takes a smart educated person to manipulate his surroundings and enjoy a more liberal lifestyle .
So it is often that liberals are more educated earn more money and spend it on other things to enjoy life rather then chase after the two story house in the right neighbor hood and kids who go to private schools .They are more likely to switch jobs earn more and buy smaller homes and drive sports cars own boats and in general have much more fun in life .
No savings for a rainy day and a huge debt .
Remeber you made the choice to be conservative and at 45 you can not change your mind by a harely divorce your wife and damage your kids minds for the rest of there live's.
If you do people may talk about you behind your back .They are saying he finally got it and we are happy he has grwon up and learned that you have to live your life not just follow the path laid out infront of you but blaze your own trail .
Conservatives never have enough and liberals often have way to much but can not remember it as well .Do you remember every moment you spent with a one night stand or just the highlights .Wow that was great and i will call you some time .

Yes, compare the last two presidents.
Bill did his secretary, as many executives do, but he never started a war or saw an American city destroyed on his watch.
You may be thinking of Bush finishing his kindergarten visit before going to see what he could do on 9/11/1, (Sheer brilliance! It shows he was already up on the attack before it happened.)
But I'm thinking of that city of sin, New Orleans, still in ruins more than a year after. (By the sin in New Orleans I do not mean the excesses of Mardi Gras but the neglect of Washington.)
In addition to his successes in New York and New Orleans, GW Bush started a war which toppled a petty tyrant harmless to the USA, involved us in a war that could last a generation and accomplish nothing, but his war is persuading millions of Muslims to take up the hopeless cause of International Terror!
And then there is his progress in the area of interrogation. After representing human rights and protections of law for generations, he has brought to the United States a regime of torture, secret trials and secret prisons that would make the Spanish Inquisition proud!
Finally, the Coup de Grasse, Global Warming. After denying the proven evidence of scientists for years, it will be too late by the time we kick the bastard out of office for even the most aggressive efforts to stop planet-wide environmental collapse and the consequent economic depression which will make the 1930's look like a joke!
We will remember GW Bush for a great many years.
Unless some patriotic American shoots him first.
Clinton did his secretary and lied about it and the idiot got impeached!
Bush has done the country, Iraq, and the whole world up the seat hole and he will be going out a hero! Utter brilliance.

What a great research project. Maybe you could take it to your local University and start a phD thesis.

Then once we have proof then we could divide up our classrooms into two different streams, conservative kids in the advanced stream and liberal kids in the slower stream. We wouldn't want those dirty liberal kids to slow down our high performance conservative kids now would we?

We should also make sure that Liberals don't come into contact with Conservatives and pollute them with their stupidity, so we should have different sections on the bus for Liberals and Conservatives. Yeah and we should have separate sections in theatres and restaurants...

Today's master leaders of the conservative are smarter than there following. To get people to follow without questioning, giving there lives and believing that's what God wants for them. Pretty smart but how sad.

On a whole Liberals are smarter by almost a gradelevel on average.
They are also not closed minded so they are open to new things and ideas.
Now if we want to break this down a little farther
Democrats on average are almost 4 grade levels above the average republican- this shows that a good share of the smarter conservatives are also democrats

I guess we could make the adage that if you have money, you dont need to be smart!

The female liberal believes they are right beside Hillary in intelligence. The conservative female will rightly stay behind Hillary, where they can keep an eye on her, also female liberals are easy, just whisper in their ear what you know they want to hear.
