Go to your doctor! I had very similar symptoms and it turned out that I had polyps and cysts. Not usually a big deal, but the pain got worse and worse - I was ill and off work for over a month whilst they ran tests. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't get out of bed and I lost 18lbs. By the time they figured out that I had several cysts that had burst and one that had twisted, I was absolutely kicking myself for not going to the doctor's earlier. If I had, the whole thing could have been prevented.

This may not be the case for you - it could also be an STD or similar, but either way - GO AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

And I hate going to see my doctor too, which is why I didn't go until it got too painful to bear. You can't self-diagnose on something like this and looking at loads of websites is just going to scare you. And even if you do work out what it is, then what? You're still going to have to see a doctor to sort it out. If you are embarrassed, request a female doctor.

Sometimes I just get sharp pains like that just from stretching the wrong way. If it only happens occassionally, like only when you're doing certain things, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. But if it starts to happen on a regular, daily basis, go see your doctor.

Could be a few things, but have you had your urine checked for any infection as these could be bladder cramps, is this the middle of your abdomen or one sided, if one the side could be bowel, if this is the case eat more bran etc, if at the bottom and in the middle go to the docs and have a urine check. Good luck

Lower abdominal pain in women is a symptom of a sexually transmitted infection. I recommend that you see your GP ASAP. Have you noticed any other symptoms, like a change in your vaginal discharge?

A lot of STIs can be treated very efficiently with antibiotics, but if left they may cause long term damage, including infertility.

I think I know what you mean, I get a pain just like that usually its P.M.S or it could be mid-cycle menstural pains. If its very sudden and nearly makes you doubled over, oh and if it hurts when your laughing, I really think its to do with ovaries. My advice is to just take it easy until the pain goes away.

1, an egg being released
2. IBS
(I had it with both)
3. twisted gut
4. wind
5. a really nasty disease

To be perfectly honest it could be lots of things and 99.99% of the time it will be harmless, however unless you get it checked out by a doctor, you will never know will you?

u could be constipated, and the pain your experiencing could be your guts trying to remove a blockage. If it's that bad though, i'd recommend you go see your doctor!
