Which direction should a bird nesting box face...North, South, East or West?

well some birds make it face the east and then ive seen some face the south but sides of the nest still was going east.

Face it east. Rain usually comes from the south and west, snow comes from the north and west, hottest sun comes from the south and west.

north or may be south but then again it could be west or east

Housemartins and Swallows generally seem to build facing west/south west where I live.

if you insist on having a bird box fix it with opening against wall so they can't get in then they will clear off somewhere else and not crap on your car and anything else they indescriminatly crap on
