I don't know why so many people do all these weird things just because of the word BALANCE lmao, don't you think they are ridiculus haha... There is one more bad habit that I have but I only do it sometimes or rarely do it now but when I was teen, I did it alot. For example, If I look at my right shoe for 5 sec then I have to look at my left shoe for the same amout of time 5 sec. I only do this while walking or sitting lol. My bad habit is involve Time,Number of times, and angle like 45,65 degree angle lol... really really weird, wondering why we do all these ridiculus things. The cause for me to look at my shoes was because the tip of the shoes always get wrinkle, so when I was teen I keep looking at the wrinkle part of the tip of the shoes until I felt the satisfaction of the wrinkle lol so people wouldn't laugh at my shoes hehe...

I have to have all tins and packets in the food cupboard facing forward, towels have to be folded and hung on towel rail in a straight and level manner. I count things like lamp posts in the street as I am passing them, paving stones, etc. Furniture has to be lined across walls in a room in a tidy way, not at an angle with nothing in the middle. When planting flowers they have to be planted in straight lines and by color co-ordination, ie going from a light to a dark color. There are loads more things but they are just normal to me so don't think about them.

My weirdest OCD habit is being unable to go barefoot cuz I think feet are gross! There's nothing wrong with my own, but I just can't stand to be barefoot or have my boyfriend Cyrus barefoot around me, especially when I'm eating, because the sight of feet can make me vomit! But Cyrus understands because he is also OCD, which should be apparent when you look at how obsessed we both are with Yahoo Answers, having compulsions to visit, vote, ask, and answer (V.V.A.A.) instead of taking care of the more important things in life. So because we both have toenails not cut in ages, I have a compulsion for always wearing socks and making him do the same (which is well worth it if it keeps people from being sick).

My weirdest OCD habit evolves around this forum. I hate the number 13, so I asked a 14th question & will probably ask another in case 1 gets removed for violation. I like to answer and/or vote JUST ENOUGH that before I go to bed my points are evenly divisible by 10 or something.

Sure...I've had OCD for 10 years and it has been better somedays and worse on other days. When I first had it, it was REAL bad and I mean REAL BAD. I used to wash my hands up to the point where my knuckles would be pink and raw because of the allergic reaction to the stuff in the soap.

I have to wring out the sponge after cleaning the kitchen and then lean the sponge against the faucet edge to let the air dry it on both sides to reduce the area where the bacteria can linger.

I know you just asked this so you could write down the tips we all give you.

When Spreading Butter on My English Muffins-I always wipe off Excess Butter By stabbing the knife in to the Muffin - then removing it at an Angle!(Leaving the knife Butter Free)
Does that meet your Criteria??

Someone who has only a habit should not think they have OCD. the only way to know is to get a diagnosis.
one of my habits is if i walk around in a circle (which i avoid) i have to walk the opposite way to balance it out

I do wash my hands quite a bit and at night time I double check everything when I close the windows and lock up the house..

i check to make sure the stove is off an umpteenth number of times, as well as making sure the iron is unplugged, before leaving the house. when i finally let myself out after an eternity of checking, i will stand outside the door for entirely too long, making sure that the door cannot be opened from the outside.

i hate that i do it, my mother does it too, and her anxiety of catastrophy rubbed off on me, i guess.

my girlfriend has to make sure any numbers are always on even.

e.g. volume on car stereo/ tv, number of tracks in a homemade cd etc...

I also have a colleague who will not arrange meetings for times where all the numbers add up to 13 e.g. 10.30
