Star Trek Voyager, because everyone had a sense of urgency to get back home, knowing there was a good chance they wouldn't make it. Although janeway was a charismatic leader who made many friends in the delta quadrant, they were always on the move and pretty much alone out there. They had to make due with limited resources or innovate/enhance different technologies like the delta flyer, slipstream drive, and the Doctor. The crew was a cool bunch as well. Lot of good episodes like timeless, scorpion, waking moments, relativity, year of hell, hope and fear, flashback, and endgame (love those time-travel stories).

It's true that Picard, Kirk, and Sisko faced their own set of challenges, but at least they had the Federation to back them up..even if it was only for fuel, food, or getting shore leave.

Picard and his crew were great, as was Sisko and the Defiant. I just didn't get the original series (except for The Voyage Home) or Enterprise. 2nd place: TNG, 3rd place: DS9

The original Series was my fav. Esp "The Trouble With Tribbles" and "The Menagerie".

These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise
Her 5 year mission:
To solve a problem in engineering in under an hour
To find uniforms that don't ride up your armpits
To split infinitives, no man has split before!

Before deciding, here is what i think of each series...

Original series... very much a part of my childhood but dated

Next generation... interesting, but not as good as...

Deep Space Nine... political, philosophical, and with a dash of soap opera...

Voyager... The human element of being marooned in space...

Enterprise...Paramount seemed to be struggling to come up with new ideas...

Hmmm... the middle 3...i think it depends on my mood... Thinking about it... Deep Space Nine. Why? Well written, well acted, plausible.

The Next Generation and Enterprise without the Xindi fiasco.
But I like them all, so we are deep into splitting hairs country here...

My favourite characters are in no particular order, Seven of Nine, Tpol, Dr McCoy, Picard and Kirk

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was my favourite, it was darker and grittier than the other Treks, Ben Sisko kicks a*s, it just kept getting better and better as each series progressed, ending up with the biggest televised Star Trek space battle ever, excellent.

The original 1960s with Wm. Shatner et al - Beam me up Scottie...although I'm not sure if that phrase was actually used. The most amusing is the opening sequence in which we are told...Space, the final frontier, where no man has gone before.
Okay, if no man has gone there, how come he ain't been either?
In the later versions this was corrected to 'been'. Why?

I have really enjoyed Voyager I like the doctor and 7 of 9. I liked it when they went through a spaceial anomaly and they had to put the whole crew in stasis, sealed sleep chambers for about a year and the doctor and 7 of 9 had to look after the whole ship. and another time when the doc was trying to teach 7 of 9 how to date. was a good one, and he ended up falling for her himself.

Original or Voyager.

Next generation was too politically correct.
Deep space nine was too static.
and Enterprize didn't feel like a Star Trek product.

The Original series was the best. Original ideas that all others have tried to emulate.
