Its all to do with shading and contouring. So any shape face can look like the perfect oval shape. Using a bronzing powder, not to dark or a contouring powder and a blusher brush, suck your cheeks in and sweep the powder from the hollow up towards the ear. Remember not too much as if you need more you can always apply more. This will give you a more sculpted cheek bone structure. Follow this by sweeping your ordinary blush just above this line. I use rimmel cream blusher and lightly dab it on my cheek bones, it gives a nice fresh dewy look.
At the end of the day it all depends on your own face shape, for example if you have a square face, you would put the bronzing powder on the temples and outer corners of the forehead and on the jaw line towards the chin.
To give a more defined jaw line, sweep bronzing powder under the chin and neck. I hope this helps and good luck.

The best makeup trip to make your face look thinner would have to be using 3 different kinds of foundation. One foundation should match your skin tone, the second about two shades darker and the third about two shades lighter than your skin tone. Apply the darker foundation from your cheek and jaw line down to your neck, making a fishy face apply to the crease in your cheeks and down the sides of your nose, don't worry about blending yet. Next with your lighter foundation highlight your cheek bones, and the top of your nose. Next blend the colors so that you don't have a "fake" look. Apply the foundation that matches your skin tones sparingly to even out your skin. Darkening some areas like the neck, sides of the nose, and cheecks trick the eye into thinking there are shadows there and highlighting with the lighter shade looks like those parts are standing out. This will take a little bit of practice but you'll get it! GOOD LUCK!

You could try applying blush to just the top of your cheekbones. This gives you the illusion of higher cheekbones, which makes your face look thinner.
