I have not had reason for suspicion. But I feel uncomfortable with this call he had. Your valued suggestion please.

I'm sorry to say, yep, he is involved with someone else.
Get that phone and track the number on http://www.whitepages.com/reverse_phone. If the number was a listed land line you will get their name.

Follow him next time he leaves on a vague errand. If he says he is working late, be a sweet wife and bring him a surprise dinner just to see if he really is at work. The woman could be a co-worker.

Confront him and tell him you know he is hiding a huge lie. Tell him you are going to give him to opportunity to fess up to the dirty secret. (Don't let him know that you know so little and don't reveal your sources.) Tell him the stakes are huge if he is not truthful.

IF he confesses to an affair, tell him to sever all contact and go with you to marital counseling for a minimum of one year. IF he does not confess talk to a private investigator and pay him for a one hour consultation. Ask him what you can do yourself if you cannot afford to hire him. PI's know what to do.

Now for you....you have to act especially sweet and loving right now no matter how much you hurt. You have to hide your suspicion of him because you want him to make a mistake you will see. It is very difficult to lead 2 separate lives. Affairs are time consuming.

After he is caught make him sever all contact with the woman and make him go with you to marital counseling for a year. You both have needs that are unmet. You need to learn to communicate so this will not happen again.

Then again.....it could be he was trying to buy drugs or something.

he could have just woken up. text him and tell him to call you back when he can. then you can talk to him about it later. if you havent suspected anything, dont start suspecting now, you just need to trust him and it sounds like you do. talk to him about it first, and if nothing sounds out of place just let it go. if he starts to act like hes hiding something then id start to worry, but atleast talk to him first.

something doesn't add up,I think an unexpected stop at his house is a good way to find out whats going on.
