I'm guessing the state quarters won't be collectible, and the regular quarters that existed before will be. There's another chance -- the Bicentennial drummer boy quarter, which everyone seems to have forgotten about, might be the valuable one sooner.

The regularly circulated quarters won't be, but if you have an uncirculated or proof quarter (bought directly from the US Mint). They will hold and rise in value.
