I'm assuming you've read the instructions and are having difficulty understanding them? Go to your local pharmacy or call your doctor. A nurse, doctor or pharmacist will be happy to help ensure you understand how to take them.
CALL YOUR LOCAL PHARMACY!!! A pharmacist can explain it to you.
HOWEVER -- you should NEVER take prescription medication without talking to someone who would know if it would be okay for you (like, oh, a DOCTOR). There are also free clinics where you can at least go to make sure this particular birth control pill at whatever dosage you have will work..
And finally -- You need to still use CONDOMS. BC pills do not protect you from STDs.
(it really scares me that people are still so naive about contraception and protection against disease)

I don't have insurance either and I would recommend going to a health department. I am married and my husband and I both worked and I still qualified for a free visit and a free prescription. They will check you out and then answer any questions you have about taking the pills and any possible side effects. As far as taking a pill though. I take Ortho Tricyclen and I start taking them on a Sunday evening right before bed (I had stomach issues with my pills). I take them every day until the last pill is taken on a Saturday night. Then my period is the following week and then take the next set of pills starting the following Sunday. Go ahead and try that. Good luck.

Take one each day at about the same time. Either when you wake up, or when you go to bed. If there are 21 pills in the pack, take 7 days "off" when you finish the pack. If there are 28, the last 7 have no hormones, so take them all (one a day).

Mirena IUD is something you may look into. i've got been on each and every little thing. tablets gave me migraines and Depo made me depressed. I have been given my IUD in basic terms a month and a a million/2 in the past, yet i'm soo happy with it. It harm like hell to insert, and cramped for 5 days after, yet that replaced into it. My classes at once went away, and that i do no longer even know it quite is there. No remembering something for 5 years. do no longer do the copper IUD, that makes classes heavier and indicators worse. i've got heard lots of poor thoughts for Depo, so in case you are not getting problems- i myself enjoyed Yaz for a pill.
