I agree, if some people are offended by the word color, than we should make an effort not to offend them.

complexion is a better word--who on this earth is only one color? ask any artist and they will tell you there are at least fifteen colors that go into a rendering of anybody's face, and that's just a rendering, not the real thing--we don't have a single skin color, we have a complexion

PC has gotten so out of hand these days just because people are stupid. what happen to the way things were? PC is a result of frivolous lawsuits and people acting like a bunch of babies. why do we call me African Americans when probably about 80% have never been to Africa, or know anything about African history? why must we say complexion instead of color? complexion describes the fairness of someone (acne, tone). pc is super lame.

Not really, I'm afraid. I find political correctness to be tedious and inane. Some people want to be offended and will be offended by anything you come up with, no matter how nice or polite. The people who are offended by the word "color" today will be equally offended by the word "complexion" tomorrow.

I don't see a problem with it. I don't want to offend anybody, of course. But, really, as long as the person isn't using it as a racial slur, why not? Some people would probably turn any substitues in to a slur, really. Also, "political correctedness gets really annoying fast. It's really just kinda wordy ways to cushion what you're saying. It's a waste of everybody's time and breath.

Look up complexion in the dictionary. It does not mean the same thing as color. If you want to redefine a word in order to make someone feel better, go ahead; but it is incorrect use of the word. In my opinion, it makes you sound ignorant.
