When they are old enough to not cry and upset other patrons. Just do not bring them to anything adult as it could upset older people to hear them talking. But a cartoon or kids movie. Give it a shot. If they cry though be ready to remove them.

My daughter was about 18 months old and my son first went at three months but I guess that doesn't count because he had to come with me, it wasn't a film he wanted to see! I don't think people should be put off by taking a small child, sit at the back near the doors in case they create and you need to take them out for a few minutes. It's good to teach them how to behave in public from an early age.

Two to Monster Inc at 3 and 4 years of age.

The 4 year old loved it, the 3 year old too, but got a bit restless.

When I was a nanny I took the 4 year old to see some kids Disney flick about dinosaurs and she was scared silly..I had to take her out.

BETWEEN 7-8 YEARS OLD. My child did very well. I took my child to the restroom when needed. I made sure there were [plenty to snack and drink. My child was never a disturbance. It was a joy to do. Still is.

Old enuf to see and care. But my son didnt sit and be quiet all the thru a movie till he was 3.

I first took my little brother when he was 4 but he couldn't understand the concept of sitting still and not talking...Kids eh? :)
