Wow, helpful hints. I used to just throw the extra food on their hood when they left. I figured it would stay warm that way. Wish I had thought the container thing.

I go through my house every six months, whatever has not been used I give away. I hate clutter.
I do save a few of those for picnics, or like you said sending home leftovers.
Recycling saves money..
I have to share what we did with baby food jars when our kids were young.
In the garage or a shed if you have a shelf, nail the lid of the baby food jar to the shelf, and put nails, and screws, bolts in the jars, and they screw right into the lid...

Yes. I use them for all kinds of things! For leftovers, food given to others, they get eaten out of so my glass ones won't get broken, cat/dog bowl, etc.

I HAVE SO MANY COOL WHIP AND BUTTER BOWLS. I USE THEM FOR THE SAME REASON. I ALSO KEEP THE BIG ICE CREAM BUCKETS.
