Its good for putting up stuff with small containers like yogurt and other things. Because the other shelves are kind of big ( so larger food stuffs are strored there more often) and the small containers might get lost.
No wait................. So you were asking about the space above the refrigerator? Sorry my head is just messed up today.
Anyway, it varies time to time. Normally when we dont have room to keep something like a platter or bowl, we place it there. Its also good for hiding stuff from little kids ( who cant reach it).
