Can they be legally separated by a Court ordering one party out of the house in a Domestic Violence dispute?

That is NOT a legal separation. One, or both, must file in court for a dissolution of the marriage.

You each need to retain an attorney. The attorney will help you file with the court. A lot of costs are involved. Attorney fees, court costs. etc.

In order to become legally separated, you will have to go to a lawyer and have papers drawn up.
