in the dugout, he's quiet and not into the series. I'm disappointed in Jeter cause as a captain, he should have a heart-to-heart talk with him. You could tell by the SI article that he's lost his passion for playing with the Yankees or its fans. I know A-rod and Jeter are not the best of friends anymore, but Jeter should pick him up....cause he's in the dust right now. I need your opinion (sensible opinions only)

I agree with you on some points but I think there is only so much CAPN. can do the EGO is a very fragile thing it doesnt just go away because you reach a certain income, You could be a Garbage collector and have a more controlled EGO than a multi million dollar Athlete or Visa Versa... What really gets me goin is All the YANKEE haters Pileing on when the MAN is down.......Thats a pretty LOW life form in my book!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you..

A-rod makes one mistake he is Hated and Booed by the Yankee Fans.

Jeter can make the same Mistake 10 times and he is still cheered.

then A-rod can go on a good hitting streak (Example 5 Home runs in three games with 12 rbi's and no strike outs, while in that stretch jeter can be striking out left and right and they won't cheer A-rod like they would Jeter if roles were reversed and they would never boo Jeter unless he ended up a Red Sox

I think A-Rod doesn't want to be a Yankee anymore. There's no fight left in him. He just doesn't care. There's only so much Jeter can do. A-Rod needs to get out of NY. Reggis Jackson didn't like NY, but he still won the world series. Now that's a real pro. Grow up A-Rod.

I think A-Rod needs to come to a more forgiving town, like Chicago. Im not saying this because I live here and because Im a Sox and Cubs fan, but because Chicago fans are more forgiving and dont dwell on what happened last week, of course, only if its good. The only guy that Chicago fans hated was Neifi Perez, and hes gone now (but man did he get more than a few not so good comments when the Tigers came to the Cell). If any player does something good, Chicago fans will like you for good. I remember Ross Gload, a few months back when the Sox were slumping big time. we were playing Baltimore, in Baltimore, and it was like the bottom of the eighth, Sox were down 4-2 and Ross Gload was pinch hitting for Paul Konerko. Gload had no homers, 15 RBIs and was batting like .260. The bases were loaded, with 2 outs, and you could imagine what us Sox fans were saying. But then, Gload got an outside corner pitch, and hit a Grand Slam. The Sox won the game and that was THE hit that brought them to, and got them playing real ball. After, Gload hit a few more HRs, got like 20 more RBIs that season, and finished hitting over .310. Now, whenever Gload steps up and strikes out or pops out, were like "Yeah, but remember that Grand Slam? Its all good." I think A-Rod needs a trade, not somebody to pick him up, because it looks like he is sick of New York and New York is sick of him.

There's no way of helping A-Rod. He's a headcase. He already sees a shrink. It doesn't help. He puts all the pressure on himself. You can see it in his face when he's at bat. He can't clear his head and go to his happy place. There is something mentally wrong with him.

I think that Torre moved A-Rod down in the order to get a reaction out of him. A-Rod should have been furious about that and I think Torre wanted him to be furious. But he wasn't. BAD SIGN!!!

My opinion is:

1) Everybody keep throwing his contract (10 y @ $252mil) in his face like it was his fault that he accepted. Remember, Texas Rangers offered him the contract and A Rod was smart enough to accept it. I'll get back to this story later........

2) When he was with Texas Rangers, he was the "BIG STAR" there (Like Derek Jeter in NYY). Now in NYY, He "an Ordinary Player with a big contract".

And many more coming....

ARod better come out of the slump and start taking in the action. If wants to show he earns his pinstripes then he must contribute like the rest of the Yankees squad. He needs tough love from his fellow teammates.
