Although it is possible to change the region of your DVD player, you are limited to 4 region changes. After the 4th change the region will be locked and can never be changed again. (That applies to Macs as well as PCs. It's specific to the drive technology, NOT the operating system.)

Some DVD drives can be forced to "region free" and will then play any DVD. Google "region free" along with the model of the DVD drive to see if yours can be changed.

Alternatively there are software packages that will bypass the region setting on your DVD drive and allow you to play any DVD. Here's a link to one such package; there are others out there as well: http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm

If its between the extra much less costly laptops you is probably no longer waiting to. yet many laptops drives are area unfastened, or have a characteristic talked approximately as area Switching. in case you pc has area switching once you insert a NTSC Disc you would be brought about like "This dvd isn't the right area, might you opt to alter areas now?" down area approximately <- you may in basic terms change areas maximum of situations.
