Your team trailed the series 2W 3L. You decided to use all your starters but save one for possible game 7. After 9 innings, your team made a good come back and tie the scores. The game goes on for 5 extra innings (make it a 14 inning game) and it's still a tie game. Therefore, you have pretty much used all your pitchers. The only two left are (1)the rookie pitcher with 1W4L, 9.25 era ; And (2) the Game 7 starter.
Who will you send to the mound? If you choose the game 7 starter, how are you gonna arrange your game 7 pitching?

It's a MUST win situation (Now or Never, Do or Die), so you have to go with the veteran pitcher, or there won't be a game 7. The game 7 pitching can then start with with the rookie that you would've put in the previous nights in hopes that he does well. Most of the players on both sides will be fatigue and in the same situation with using lots of their pitchers. I would see how long the rookie could last and then see which relief pitchers would be okay to pitch on 0 days rest. Maybe see if any of the starters in the previous games could pitch on 2-3 games rest depending on when they pitched.

this is simple. u pick the game 7 starter. because? if he doesnt pitch, there wont be a game 7. so he pitches that inning. and that inning only and hopefully the team scores a run for him. then he starts game 7. in a game 7 the rule is, everybody is availible. the rookie pitcher with an era of 9.25 wouldnt even be on the post season roster. plus u have to factor in you still have a bullpen of relievers since u basically used your post season roster in game 6. so the game 7 starter goes maybe 4 or 5 innings max. you still have a couple middle relievers who can get u a couple innings maybe three because they had a rest day. a set up man can go two and three if you dont need to use the closer.

Use your game 7 pitcher there's no tommorow if you lose. If you win game 6 then you've got scramble with your pitching staff. Then you must be prepared to use your whole staff again in game 7. Scrape an inning or two out of each of your pitchers and set it up so obviuosly your closer finishes the game.

You use the veteran. If you lose game 6, there won't be a game 7, so saving him would be pointless. If you have to start the rookie in game 7, you should still have a enough relievers to finish the game, especially since the opposing team also had to use a lot of their staff in game 6.
