I presume that by pipes you refer to the white plastic or chrome plated drain pipes located in the sinkbase. I also presume that there is not a garbage disposal in the system, and that you have attempted a fix with drain opener liquid.

You may purchase a "snake" for residential use starting at about $15; you may rent those as well...your choice, depending upon whether you dig acquiring tools or expect the problem may recur based upon experience.

Remove the drain pipe so that you have access to the pipe which goes into the wall or floor under the sink. Snake according to directions on the tool.

Whatever you do I'd run the water for a while to try and get the Drano to go down first. Usually a kitchen drain is plugged from grease. If you pour hot/boiling water down you need to pour a LOT of water to get it all melted. It would need to run for 10 minutes or more. Try Liquid Plumber. I've never had it fail but not sure how it works for grease or combined with Drano? Read the label.

I agree on the other guys plumbing snake idea, but after that, you may want to use some of the organic drain clearing liquid you can buy at Home Depot or similar. It smells like rotten eggs for a day, but after that when you are allowed to fill the sink and drain it, you won't believe the amount of material that gets washed away. It is amazing! You can hear chunks of soap and junk breaking loose and washing away. Pipes are like new! And, it is all organic compound. No chemicals!

If you are doing this yourself, you need to buy or borrow a plumbing snake. It's not real fun but they work.
