Yes you should read it. The book is so much better- And if you like Ann Rice you should also read her series on the Mayfair witches.

yes..while the book & movie are often the same...the book gives a more in depth veiw of whats going on in side the minds of your charachters, that makes the book a little better than the movie!....plus sometimes the book varies form the movie a little bit...an example..i of course have seen "cujo" many times since i was young,well i found the book & decided to read it,it was really good until the very end when they let the kid that had been stuck in the car thru the whole thing die...when in the movie he lived,i was pretty upset about it ..lol..but it just goes to show that just because you have seen the movie it doesnt mean the book isnt going to be any good or any different!

usually books are different from the movie, the books are more detailed and sometimes the movie misses big parts or it doesnt really show what the author wants to tell. i always read the book of a movie, with harry potter for example, the books have so many details..things i havent understood just by watching the movie

Yes. The book is ten times better than the movie. The movie sucked. The book was GREAT!

Yes I would say read the book and also look at the Vampire Lestat - they're two companion novels.
After those two, I think the quality of her books starts to drop and the writing and imagery starts to get too over the top for me but you could check them out.

Yes, read the book! The movie was allright but, really didn't do the book justice. The way Rice writes, its almost like your right there walking the streets with Louis in New Orleans, just wonderful........

I've heard that the book is much better than the movie. I havent read it but My husband has, and he said that its much better.
